Types of Aluminum Joinery
Thermal Insulated (Thermal-Break) Joinery
The profile contains a polyamide barrier that cuts heat transfer between inside and outside. The most suitable system for residential windows. See our Thermal Insulated Aluminum Joinery page for details.
Standard (Non-Insulated) Joinery
More economical, generally used in interior partitions and where heat insulation is not critical.
Sliding and Lift-Slide Systems
Sliding aluminum joinery solutions for wide openings, terrace and balcony doors. Lift-slide (hebeschiebe) systems easily move large and heavy sashes.
Advantages of Aluminum Joinery
- Does not rot, rust or crack; lasts over 30 years
- More glass surface and more light with slim profiles
- Can be produced in any color with electrostatic powder coating
- Recyclable, environmentally friendly material
Aluminum or PVC?
PVC is cheaper and has good heat insulation, but it is not as strong as aluminum on wide openings and may yellow over time. Aluminum is more durable, can carry large glass with slim profiles and provides a modern look. Aluminum for wide facades, offices and modern homes; PVC may be economical for small windows. We produce both systems.
Production and Installation
We cut and produce aluminum joinery at our Esenyurt workshop to your project's dimensions. For a standard residential project, production takes a few days and installation 1-2 days depending on size. We also sell knock-down (ready-to-install) joinery; we can crate and ship products to distant customers.
Frequently Asked Questions
In which colors is aluminum joinery available?
It can be produced in almost any RAL color with electrostatic powder coating. Wood-look foil coating options are also available.
Do I need to break the wall to replace my old windows with aluminum?
In most cases, the old frame is removed and new joinery installed without breaking the wall. During the survey we determine the least invasive method.
Does aluminum joinery provide heat insulation?
Standard aluminum alone conducts heat; however, thermal-break (polyamide barrier) models provide insulation. For homes we recommend the insulated model.
