What Is a Zip Screen and How Does It Work?

A zip screen works by locking the zipper strip sewn onto both sides of the technical fabric into the channel in the side rails. The fabric wraps around a motorized tube; it descends along the rails when opened and gathers up when closed. Because the zip system locks the fabric into the rail, wind cannot blow the fabric out. This is the most important feature distinguishing zip screens from classic blinds.
